The first esports competition dates back to 1972, organized by Stanford University, where players competed in a video game called Spacewar. The winner of the tournament received a one-year subscription to Rolling Stones magazine. Since those days, the gaming industry has risen to incredible heights, from receiving magazine subscriptions to multimillion-dollar prize pools. The passionate gaming community has sold out some of the most prestigious venues in the world to watch their favorite esports athletes compete for supremacy.

This remarkable rise of the competitive gaming landscape is a product of innovation. Since years go by, we have seen constant transformations in the world of gaming. It has brought us some of the most prestigious gaming leagues, and today, we will talk about another revolution in the world of esports: The Ultimate Endgamers League, Virginia’s Newest Gaming Lounge, and Esports League for Casual and Competitive Gamers.

The Ultimate Endgamers League hosts competitions of the best gaming titles on PC, XBOX, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo 64. It includes Street Fighter 5, UFC, Apex, Tekken 7, Madden, Call of Duty, Mortal Kombat 11, NBA 2K20, Fortnite, Soul Calibur, F1, Dragon Ball Z Fighter, FIFA, Seige 6, Marvel vs Capcom, Guilty Gear, Rocket League, Gears of War, SMASH 1v1, CTR, Overwatch, SMASH 2v2, Wreckfest, PUBG, COD Warzone, and Halo.

Each competitive season starts with the teams being selected based on skill sets of the players. The goal is to have the most well rounded team as you will be competing in many different types of games. The approved games are moved to a wheel spin and are picked randomly for the teams. After each wheel-spin, the chosen game gets removed from the wheel for the rest of the series. After the selection of titles, the teams pick the players for each match. Each team can have a roster of 5-7 players depending on the owner’s strategy. The roster selection also follows the format of game selection; Players selected to compete in one game are unavailable for the next rounds until all players have completed their turns.

For example, a team consists of five players, and after a wheel-spin picks Player A and B for Mario Kart 2v2. Then, in the next round of wheel spin, the next game is CTR 2v2. For this round, the team captains will only select from C, D, and E. After C, D, and E have competed, players A and B will be available for selection again. The purpose of this format is to allow players to showcase their talent and get recognized in the esports industry.

The players will have to earn their spot in the team draft. They will have to gain a minimum of 3,000 points for the qualifying round. Players will earn points based on the number of games they won in the tournament. Players who earn 6,000+ points will be called Golden Gamers and will be available for the draft without competing in the qualifiers.

Titus the CEO of The Ultimate Endgamers League when asked said “we are creating something so fresh, fun, competitive, and new that it WILL change the esports landscape forever! Soon nobody will care if you are great at Call of Duty. If you can’t beat them in a first to 10 on the wheel you are not the ultimate gamer.” Honestly just hearing him say that I have to agree with him. The UEL aims to polish the skills of aspiring esports athletes and give them the perfect opportunity to shine in the competitive landscape.
