This screen capture is a beautiful example of the First and Second Amendments. The woman in the original tweet clearly does not understand how quickly her right of opinion can be taken away without the current protections. The fact that she does indeed have a voice is beautiful. It is even more beautiful that people can disagree with each other.

The First and Second Amendments are critical for a free and functional society. The First Amendment protects freedom of speech, religion, and the press, while the Second Amendment protects the right to bear arms. Both of these rights are essential for a functioning democracy.

Both Amendments protect each other. There would be no free exchange of ideas and no way to hold the government accountable. Without these vital amendments, citizens could be at the mercy of a tyrannical government. The two amendments work together to protect the rights of citizens and ensure that government power is limited. Together, they are essential for a functional society.

Pro-gun or anti-gun, it’s amazing to be able to hear idiots on both sides of the topic’s opinion. The voices of naïve college educated women or uneducated drunk hillbillies, both trying to out-scream each other to be heard over the other side.

It’s like watching two animals in a cage, circling each other, sizing each other up before they attack. The only difference is that these two animals have the ability to use words instead of teeth and claws. And yet, for all their posturing and barking, neither side ever seems to actually get anywhere. The pro-gun side talks about the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms, while the anti-gun side talks about the need for better gun control and the dangers of guns in society.

Both are afraid of losing something. But at the end of the day, both sides are just shouting at each other, unable or unwilling to listen to the other’s point of view.

Perhaps if they took a moment to actually listen to what the other side was saying, they might find that they have more in common than they think. After all, both sides want what’s best for America. But until that day comes, we’ll just have to keep listening to the never-ending shouting match.

But that’s 100% ok because both idiots are not locked in a cage. Both idiots are not eating bread and sawdust while watching family members head to a gas chamber. They have the right to protect themselves and the right to speak.

A government that tries to restrict your right to bear arms is also likely trying to restrict your voice. After all, if you can’t defend yourself, you’re less likely to be able to speak out against the government. The right to bear arms is a fundamental right, and any attempt by the government to restrict it should be met with suspicion.

After all, if the government can take away your right to protect yourself, what else can they take away? It’s important to remember that the government is supposed to serve the people, not the other way around. When the government starts thinking it knows what’s best for you, it’s time to question its motives.

Agree or disagree, it’s better to have a voice and being able to speak is worth protecting.
