If you had to shoot a home invader, would you prefer to call the police and report the event or bury the invader yourself? This is 100% hypothetical, and we would expect individuals in this situation to follow the proper protocol. Even more so, we hope individuals do not get into this situation.

But it’s fun to talk about hypotheticals. So let’s say some cracked-out meth head kicks in your front door at 2:34 am, and you have to light him up because you have children in the room down the hall. Once the threat is eliminated, you have the choice to break the law and dispose of this individual yourself or call the police.

In a perfect world, you could call the police, and they would quickly determine this home invader was out of line and apologize to you for the inconvenience. They would take the remains of the crack head and dispose of him for you.

In a perfect world, this would be the end of the inconvenience.

However, our world is not perfect. Different cities and states have different home protection laws. We also have irrational social justice groups who could put external pressure on the case. The case could run for months or years. The legal fees may be more than you can afford.

If you are in this situation, you may pause for a minute and ask yourself, “should I just hide this dirtbag underground and avoid the hassle? There are pros and cons to this situation. (no one will be looking for him)

Someone robbing your house probably doesn’t have anyone who knows where he is. When involved in an illegal endeavor, they don’t want people to know where they are or what they are doing. If you do not want the authorities concerned, this is an excellent thing.

So, in theory, you may be able to dispose of the home invader quickly and go back to bed, especially if you have a wheelbarrow and a backhoe on the property. This may be easier to do out in the country. In theory, someone protecting their home could get rid of a home invader quickly, and no one would ever look for him.

Society is pretty messed up if we are thinking about having to dispose of criminals ourselves or not. It would be great if we had uniform common sense laws across the country. Anyone who thinks about breaking and entering knows it will be an open and shut case, and everyone is encouraged to protect themselves.

That would be the best situation across the board. Until then, would you think about not reporting a criminal if you had to kill them when they broke into your house? (this is only hypothetical, and we hope you would really follow the local laws in real life)

What would you do with a home invader?
