The match-up, which took place between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, was a highly anticipated one, as both Dawson and Griese were widely considered to be two of the best quarterbacks in the league. The game lived up to the hype, as the Chiefs emerged victorious by a score of 24-17. In the years since, many other great quarterbacks have come out of Purdue, including Drew Brees and Kyle Orton.
